I was first attracted to ankle boots because I simply thought they looked cool. Of course it also helped that I encountered plenty of those made from leather or suede, with natural colors and classic designs. But when I finally bought a pair and tried them on, I discovered just how comfy they can get.
Well, at least those with chunky heels or wedges of at least 4-7 centimeters. What’s more, I can pick a pair that’s one size larger than what I normally wear, then I’d put on a couple of thick socks and voilà … no more sore feet even when I have to wear them for hours on end. And I can wear socks without having to look like a high-school girl still in uniform.
Finally, I don’t know if it’s just me, but I’ve found that ankle boots don’t look too out of place here compared to knee-high boots or worse, thigh-high boots.
