Don’t you just hate having brittle, easily broken nails? Well, you’re definitely not alone: brittle nails are annoying, sometimes painful, and hard to hide. Fortunately, there are plenty of stuff that can help strengthen your nails. And even if you don’t have brittle nails, there’s nothing wrong with strengthening them, no?

Oh, and as a bonus point: this also works for hair as well. So, read on, ladies...

1. Copper
This metal helps with the formation of collagen and elastin which, in turn, helps with the regeneration of skin cells. How do you get it? Seafood is a great source, as well as kale and mushrooms.




2. Green tea extract
No surprises here: green tea is rich in polyphenols that help fight the damaging effects of UVB light.

3. Manganese
Another metal that’s also great for collagen formation, and can be found in spinach, beans, oats, and brown rice.

4. Olive fruit extract
This Mediterranean fruit is a potent antioxidant with anti-inflammatory properties as well. Really good for your skin, hair, and nails.

5. Vitamin A and D
Vitamin A (found in carrots, tuna, etc.) is a great antioxidant that protects from your skin from free radicals; while vitamin D (eggs, dairy products, mushrooms, etc.) helps with the growth of hair follicles.

6. Zinc
There a lot of skin problems caused by lack of zinc. So, make sure you get plenty of it from seafood, nuts, and beef.
