When it comes to haircare, we have an almost endless selection of products we can pick up at the nearest supermarket. However, there are also a lot of natural and organic haircare solutions that we probably already have at home, and are probably better and safer than anything that comes in a bottle or tube. Intrigued? Read on, ladies...

For brittle hair, add protein to your diet, maybe an egg for breakfast, beans for lunch, then a bit of chicken for dinner.

Suffering from hair loss? A bit of extra vitamin B6 and B12 is all you need. How do you get these nutrients? Mostly from meat and dairy products such as yogurt.

How about frizzy hair? Apparently you can create a smoother finish by rinsing with cold water... as cold as you can bear, and let the water get all the way to your cuticles.

What if you have straight hair that’s prone to split ends? Well, in this case, brush out your hair before you wet your hair or apply any kind of hair treatment product. This basically helps prevent knots and breakage.

And dry hair? Can that be treated at home too? Of course: add a bit of honey to your conditioner. This will seal in moisture and give your hair a real deep cleanse.

On the other hand, for a dry scalp, try using coconut oil (or jojoba oil... olive oil also works great).  That will get rid of the itching as well as dandruff. Easy, no?
