The last time I was entirely sure when the dry season ends and the monsoon starts was way back in grade school. Still, the weather has been cooling down the past few weeks, and we’re getting quite a bit of rainfall. So, I guess the seasons are changing... and of course one thing that follows the season is fashion, no?
Ah, but still, some fashion items designed for warmer weather that you can still buy and wear for the coming months of rain and (relatively) colder temperatures. So, let’s make a quick list, shall we?
Light cardigans: The perfect pick to layer above your daily outfits, especially if you want something that looks lighter than a jacket and more casual than a blazer.
Maxi skirts (and maxi dresses): Both items are very versatile. They go well with flat shoes and sandals for when the weather’s hot, and when it’s cold and rainy, you can pair them with heavier footwear... boots are nice.
Scarves: A must-have when the sun is scorching, and quite useful when it’s raining instead... not to keep you dry, of course, but to help ward off the cold. Also useful when you’re inside a building with the air conditioner on full blast.
Tank tops: Excuse me? Tank tops for the rainy season? Why, yes, of course... as another layer to put underneath your jacket, cardigan, or shirt.
Leggings: Again, this one can make a great added layer under your dress, skirt, or shorts... especially when the temperature really drops.
